A mid-sized oil and gas operator with active production wells in the Chad Basin contacted OASERVS following internal monitoring that flagged pressure irregularities on one of their producing wellheads. With production continuity and safety both at stake, the client required a rapid but methodical response from a team familiar with the local operating environment.
OASERVS mobilised a dedicated wellhead services team to site, conducted a structured assessment, and delivered a full remediation and reporting programme within the agreed timeframe.
When a production company operating in the Chad Basin identified anomalies during a routine well review, they needed a technically capable, locally available team to assess and restore wellhead integrity without disrupting surrounding operations. OASERVS was engaged to carry out a full inspection, pressure testing programme, and remediation of the affected equipment.

The client faced three interconnected problems:
A local partner with the right technical capability and equipment availability was essential.
Our team conducted a thorough on-site inspection of the wellhead assembly, identifying the specific components showing signs of wear and seal degradation. A risk assessment was completed before any intervention work began, with control measures defined and communicated to all personnel on site.
A full pressure testing programme was carried out in accordance with applicable HSE and industry standards. Test results were recorded in real time and compared against the original equipment specifications and the client’s operational requirements.
Based on the inspection findings, worn sealing elements and a damaged valve assembly were replaced. All replacement components were verified against the required specifications before installation.
Upon completion, OASERVS delivered a full written report covering the scope of work, all test results, components replaced, current well status, and recommendations for the client’s ongoing maintenance programme.
All replacement components used during this intervention met the specifications required by the client and complied with applicable industry standards. Work was carried out in full accordance with HSE requirements, and all documentation was prepared to support the client’s internal compliance and audit processes.
The wellhead was restored to full operational integrity within the agreed schedule. The client received a comprehensive report enabling their team to monitor the well with confidence and plan future maintenance proactively. No production interruption occurred on adjacent wells during the intervention.
Following the engagement, the client retained OASERVS for scheduled inspection and maintenance support on additional wells in their portfolio.Ready to discuss your wellhead requirements? Contact our team at contact@oaservs.comcontact@oaservs.com or call (+235) 85 15 45 15
